Craft Gin Club
How did we scale a new subscription product by over 200% without increasing media spend?

Craft Gin Club operates in a highly saturated gin market.
To unlock new growth, they needed to successfully launch a rum subscription product.
They were already spending heavily on Meta, around £50k per month, on their new rum subscription product.
But performance wasn't where it needed to be and was being driven almost entirely by a single ad. In fact, 90% of spend was going into one creative (yes, just one).
This created a major risk. Without creative diversity, the account had no room to scale, test new audiences, or protect performance if that one ad stopped working.
To grow the new rum subscription, they needed a completely new creative approach, powered by diversity and testing.
The answer was simple: creative diversity at scale.
We produced and tested over 100 ads, each built around different angles, concepts, audience niches and product messages.
These ads were mapped across different stages of the funnel and tested using an ABO structure, giving us full budget control over each ad and variant.
Creatively, we pushed beyond the typical subscription messaging.
We challenged customers’ perceptions of:
The value of the subscription
The true cost of supermarket rum
What they were really getting for their money
To ensure complete tracking accuracy, each ad was paired with a bespoke landing page and a unique voucher code.
This allowed us to trace every conversion back to a specific ad, giving 100% certainty that those subscribers came through Meta.
